Storm nips Mustangs 16U in 8 innings
Pushing across a run in the bottom of the eighth inning, the Storm nipped the visiting Medina Mustangs 16U team 7-6 Friday in a Western New York Premier League baseball game.
A two-out RBI single by Cam Noonan in the eighth provided the margin of victory for the Storm which had tied the game at 6-6 with a run on an error in the seventh.
The Mustangs had built up an early 6-0 lead by scoring once in the first on a wild pitch and four times in the second on RBI hits by Jackson Prynn and Colton Smith.
Medina regained the lead for the last time at 6-5 in the top of the seventh on a triple by Prynn.
Prynn, Smith and Brady Christiaansen each finished with a pair of hits as Jimmy Dieter and Kolton Fletch both added one.
The Mustangs are now 3-6.
