A winter storm could bring 8-14 inches of snow to Orleans County and Western New York.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a winter storm warning for Orleans County and WNY from 7 p.m. today until 1 p.m. on Friday. The widespread accumulating snow will create dangerous travel conditions.

“Travel will be very difficult to impossible, including during the morning commute on Friday,” the Weather Service said. “Gusty winds and wet heavy snow could cause tree branches to fall. Significant reductions in visibility are possible.”
