The leaves are changing colors but there is still a lot of green on the tree canopies in Orleans County.

Some areas of the state are starting to get peak fall foliage colors – parts of the Capital-Saratoga, Catskills, Central New York, Finger Lakes, and Chautauqua-Allegheny regions.

That’s according to the weekly fall foliage update on Wednesdays from the Empire State Development Division of Tourism’s I LOVE NY program.

Orleans and Genesee counties are seeing some color change, according to volunteer field observers in the state report.

“In Orleans County, there is 40% change at the Cobblestone Museum in Albion with bright and colorful crimsons and cinnamons,” the report states.
