Still 8,000 without power in Orleans County
National Grid says restorations expected by tonight

National Grid has made progress restoring power to tens of thousands of customers in Western and Central New York. The power company reports this morning at 9:30 that 26,967 customers are without electricity following the Wednesday wind storm.
In Orleans County, 7,995 customers are still without power. That is more than any other county. Genesee has 6,403 customers without power.
National Grid’s breakdown of the outages in Orleans County, and the estimated restoration, includes the following:
