Still 1,000 without electricity in Orleans

The morning has started with 1,012 National Grid customers without electricity in Orleans County. The company is estimating power will be restored in the count by 10 p.m. today, with many of the customers reconnected before that.

National Grid is working to restore electricity to 44,828 customers in upstate after powerful winds on Wednesday took down trees and powerlines.

Warren County has the most National Grid customers, 9,613, without electricity this morning.
