Jumping out to an early lead, the Academy Stars went on to trim the AnJo Bombers U14 team 6-4 Thursday in a WNY Boys  of Summer game at the Roy-Hart varsity field.

The Stars scored a quick run on a error in the first inning and added 3 more in the second.

The Bombers, which out hit the Stars 8-3,  scored three runs in the fourth inning on a bunt single by Colin Fragale and singles by Cade Littman, and Reed Albee.

Littman and Albee each collected multiple hits for the Bombers.  Albee, AJ Seefeldt, Littman, and Fragale each drove in one run.

Littman, Rylend Callicutt and Tom Furmanski were collectively sharp on the mound only yielding 3 hits and striking out five over seven innings.

The Bombers are in action tonight at Alexander high school in the Darien lake tournament, as well as on Saturday at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the Oakfield-Alabama varsity field.
