Albion High senior Clayton Stanton has selected Baldwin-Wallace near Cleveland, Ohio to continue his education and play football for former Albion Purple Eagle and B-W Head Coach John Snell.

Stanton was also recruited by Utica, St. John Fisher, Brockport, Morrisville, Wooster, University of Rochester and Buffalo State among many others.

“I feel like I’m home when I’m there. It’s in a small town outside of Cleveland and it’s nice to be playing for a coach from around here,” said Stanton who plans to major in Sports Management aiming toward a goal of becoming a football coach. “I’ve always wanted to be a football coach” he added.

A first team B North Division All-Star selection this past fall, he will be playing in this summer’s annual Western New York North-South Lions Club All-Star game.

“Clayton has been one of the most highly recruited D-III student-athletes I have ever coached” said Purple Eagles Coach Gary Parisi. “He put himself in a situation with strong grades to use football as a tool to get a great education. I was really impressed with the way he went about this process, not getting caught up in the Bells and Whistles but that he felt comfortable academically and athletically.”
