Stallions romp to clinch division title

The Medina Stallions defeated Oakfield/Elba 44-19 at Vets Park Saturday to improve to 5-0 and clinch the Varsity Division title in the Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA).

Brian Fry led the Stallions attack rushing for 270 yards including touchdown runs of 84, 65 and 5. He also returned an interception 30 yards for a score and threw a pair of touchdown passes to Emmanuel Taylor covering 8 and 9 yards

Anthony Monell also returned an interception 40 yards for a touchdown and Joe Cecchini caught 4 passes for 65 yardss while Hayden Woodroe had a fumble recovery.

JV Division
Albion 27, Holley 0
Amari Jones had rushing touchdowns of 39 and 1 yards and a 37 yard TD pass to Javon Jones to lead Albion to the win. Sh’kwa Riley added a 35 yard touchdown run . Riley and Amari Jones also both scored extra points.

Oakfield/Elba 38, Medina Broncos 6
Wyatt Zelazny scored the lone touchdown for the Medina Broncos.

Mini Division
Medina Colts 25, Oakfield/Elba 0
Cole Callard passed to Jamair LeMaine for one touchdown while Christian Moss, Brody Fry and Ty Holmes all added rushing touchdowns to lead the Colts.

Holley 27, Albion 6
Maykell Walker rushed for 39 yards including a 13 yard touchdown carry for Albion. On defense, Walker had 6 tackles and Jared Ostrander and Welsey Olles 5 each.
