Spring finally makes its debut

Today is the first day of spring following a difficult winter that included some fierce wind storms, an ice storm and lots of snow, including blizzard-like conditions on Jan. 30.
The official start of spring isn’t until later today at 5:58 p.m. Today is forecast to reach 51 degrees.
Thursday it will get up to 48 with an 80 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo.
