Spartans to open semi pro season Saturday
The Genesee County Spartans will open the semi pro football season with a non league game at the Watertown Red and Black at 7 p.m. Saturday.
The Spartans roster includes Lyndonville graduate Brooks Boyle, a linebacker/defensive back.
Batavia High grads Joe Canzoneri and Alex Rood are vying for the starting quarterback position.
The Spartans home opener will be June 17 on the new turf field at Genesee Commuity College.
