Spartans blank Rams; Mustangs post shutout

In a matchup of two old Niagara-Orleans League foes, Starpoint scored a goal in each half to down host Roy-Hart 2-0 this morning in a non league boys soccer game.

Aiden Prince scored what proved to be the game winner for the Spartans 15 minutes into the first half and Evan Stefanski later added an insurance tally 7 minutes into the second half.

Starpoint is now 5-3-1 overall and Roy-Hart 4-3.

In another non league contest, Medina/Lyndonville defeated host Tapestry 4-0 to go to 3-3.

Jack Whipple scored two goals for the Mustangs as Cole Callard and Mason Moreland each netted one. Sam Kingsbury dished out two assists and Wyatt Zelazny one as Zach Fike earned the shutout in goal.

Roy-Hart’s Brandon DiNieri (18) sends the ball over to Trent Choate.
