Some snow expected today

The National Weather Service has issued a lake effect snow advisory for Orleans and Monroe counties for today through 4 a.m. Saturday.

About 1 to 2 inches is expected today with another inch or less overnight. The greatest snow amounts will be along and north of Route 104, according to the Weather Service.

Other parts of Western New York will see much more snow. The Weather Service said 6 to 10 inches is coming for Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and southern Erie counties.
