Soccer sectionals set to begin this week

Section V and Section VI postseason sectional playoff action will get underway this coming week with boys and girls soccer competition.

The Section V boys and girls playoffs will begin on Tuesday while in Section VI the boys contests get underway on Tuesday and the girls on Wednesday.

The Roy-Hart girls are seeded No. 1 and the boys No. 2 in Section VI Class B2 while the Holley girls are seeded No. 3 in Section V Class C1.

The Niagara-Orleans League field hockey championship will be decided on Monday as 11-0 Akron visits 10-1 Barker in the season finale.

Football action will feature the renewal of the century plus long Orleans County rivalry as Medina visits Albion at 7 p.m. Friday.
