Soccer rivalries to highlight early week sked

Tuesday will be boys soccer rivalry evening as Holley hosts Kendall at 6:30 p.m. and Medina/Lyndonville entertains Albion at 7 p.m.

Kendall bested Holley 3-1 in the earlier season Genesee Region League meeting between the teams at Kendall.  The Eagles are 3-5 in the league and 5-9 overall while Holley is 2-4-1, 6-5-2.

Albion downed Medina/Lyndonville 6-1 in the earlier Niagara-Orleans League meeting between the teams at Albion.  The Purple Eagles are 3-6 in the league and 6-8 overall while the Mustangs are 2-6, 3-101-1.

The N-O field hockey title race will see a key game on Tuesday as Barker visits Roy-Hart. Barker is currently tied with defending champion Akron for first place at 8-1 while Roy-Hart is just a game back in the loss column at 8-2.

Football action on Friday will feature Albion hosting Medina/Lyndonville in the renewal of the century plus long rivalry.  Roy-Hart/Barker all also host B-3 Division leader Lackawanna on Friday while Holley will look to make it four wins in a row as the Hawks host Pembroke on Saturday afternoon.
