Snow could make for slick travel on Christmas morning
The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for Orleans County with slick travel expected this morning until 10:45.
“Light lake effect snow will persist across much of the region through this Christmas morning with some areas picking up a fresh inch or two of accumulation,” the Weather Service said. “This will coat area roadways and sidewalks so untreated surfaces will be slick, even with light traffic. Motorists should allow a little extra time to reach their destination.”
The snow will taper off to scattered light snow showers and flurries during the midday and afternoon.
