Six returnees anchor Lady Rams lineup

Led by a group of six returnees, Roy-Hart is prepping for an early start to the Niagara-Orleans League field hockey season as the Lady Rams will host Wilson at 10 a.m. Friday.
The Lady Rams veteran group includes seniors Gabby Smith, Claire Halstead, Lorna Becker and Justine Laverty along with juniors Cheyenne Stilwell and Izzy Santella.
Laverty earned first team N-O All-League honors last year while Halstead and Stilwell were both Honrable Mention selections.
Coach Colleen Albee’s Lady Rams are also looking for contributions from freshmen Abby Glyshaw and Samantha Sperduti.
The Lady Rams graduation losses included first team N-O All-League selection Lexiss Diel (11 goals) along with second team honorees Rebecca Berner and Miah Glena.
Roy-Hart went 7-4-1 in N-O competition last year to finish in the runner-up spot behind co-champions Akron and Barker, both at 11-1.
