Silver Creek tops Medina stickmen

Jumping out to a six goal first period lead, Silver Creek went on to defeat host Medina 19-8 this afternoon in a Class C Division lacrosse game at Vets Park.
Silver Creek grabbed a 7-1 advantage at the end of the opening period and went on to hold leads of 12-3 at the half and 13-5 at the three-quarter mark.
Kyle Barna netted four goals to lead Medina. Brett Pecoraro, Aaron Feltz, Andrew Wigley and Josh Klotzbach each chipped in with one.
Medina, which is now 1-8 in the division and 5-9 overall, next visits Lew-Port at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
