Shelridge crowns Senior’s champs

Two long-time Shelridge competitors, Charlie Kudel and Gary Murphy, took top honors at the Senior’s Championship Tournament this past weekend.

Kudel was the low gross score champion with a 158 while Murphy took low net honors with a score of 144.

In the 50-59 Flight, Steve Barnes earned low gross honors and Neal Hermann had the low net score. Finishing second were Mark Rydza (low gross) and Ed Congelli (low net).

In the 60-69 Flight, Dennis Higgins had the low gross score and Rich Mesi the low net score. Earning second place honors were Bob Hodgson (low gross) and Dave Bellucci (low net).

In the 70 and Over Flight, Bruce Foley took low gross honors and Butch Stupnick had the low net score. Taking second place were Cliff Braman (low gross) and Jerry Meal (low net).

The Shelridge Junior champ was crowned Wednesday as Michael Cardone edged out Ian Wagner on the third playoff hole.

The other Junior winners were: 18 Hole Sub Jr. Boys – Alex Allis; 18 Hole Jr. Girls – Mel Green; 9 Hole Boys – Aidan Paul; 9 Hole Girls – Sophia Cardone and 5 Hole Boys – Spencer Ireland.
