Shelridge crowns Fall Member Member Tournament champions

Tom Morien and Mike Paul teamed up to take top honors in the Fall Member Member Tournament at Shelridge Country Club this past weekend.

Morien and Paul combined for a 121 total to best runners-up Dave Wagner and Steve Barnes by three shots.

The Oak Hill Flight saw Bruce Foley and Gary Murphy edge out Mike Morris and Rod Hamilton by one stroke.

The Oakmont Flight had Tom Pegelow and Dennis Higgins taking top honors as Steve Sturtevant and Johnny Pietroboni took second place.

In the Pine Valley Flight Neal and Gorie Hermann finished first two shots ahead of Charlie Kudel and Ed Congelli.

The final foursome in the 2014 Shelridge Player of the Year competition is set for this coming Sunday. Those players invited and their season point totals to date include John Vekich (82), Charlie Kudel (78), Frank Vekich (77), Bruce Foley (70) and Alex Misiti (70).

Two Shelridge members, Ray Neuman and James Tee, played at Brookfield last week and qualified for the upcoming State Mid Amateur Golf Tournament which will be held in Rome, N.Y. Neuman shot a 76 and Tee a 78.
