Shake on the Lake, which brings Shakespeare to rural towns in Western New York, is back in Orleans County this week.

The acting troupe, based in Wyoming County, performed Shakespeare in 2016 and 2017. This year the group has six cast members doing Richard the Third.

They are doing shows free to the public at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Lyndonville at Yates Community Library (the school auditorium will be the venue in case of rain) and then on Wednesday at the Oak Orchard Lighthouse in Point Breeze.

Shake on the Lake’s summer tour started on July 26 and continues until Aug. 11 with performances in Wyoming, Livingston, Genesee, Orleans, Monroe, Erie, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.

The shows don’t require tickets.
