Several Medina High grads set to play sports at collegiate level
Several student/athletes of the Medina High Class of 2014 which graduated Friday, will be continuing their sports careers at the collegiate level this fall including Kyle Barna, Dan Brown, Anthony Pane, Adam Hoot, Scott Barber, Barry Rogenmoser and Taylor Miller.

Barna, who has earned All-League football and lacrosse honors at Medina, will be trying out for the Memphis University football team as a preferred walk-on. Barna, who is planning on majoring in business, also had a scholarship offer to play lacrosse at Pfeiffer College in North Carolina.

Dan “Munjie” Brown, who has earned All-League football and basketball honors at Medina, will be playing basketball at Niagara County Community College.

Pane, who has earned All-League honors in soccer and has also competed in track at Medina, will be attending the Universidad Interamericana in Puebla City, Mexico this fall. He is being sponsored by The Medina Rotary Club district 7090. He will be repeating his senior year of high school there and then upon return to the states he will attend the University of Rochester in the fall of 2015 to study biomedical engineering and genetics. He plans to play club soccer at both locations.

Barber, who earned All-League soccer honors and also ran track at Medina, will be playing soccer at Norwich College where he will major in Criminal Justice.

Rogenmoser, who also earned All-League honors in soccer and ran track at Medina, will be playing soccer at St. John Fisher College where he will major in Chemistry to study Pharmacy.

Hoot, who played soccer, basketball and baseball at Medina, will be competing in crew at Marietta College where he will major in Petroleum Engineering.

Miller, who earned All-League honors in soccer and also participated in basketball and track at Medina, will be playing soccer at Genesee Community College where she will major in General Studies.
