Seventh inning rally lifts Barker past Elba
A two out last inning rally earned Barker a wild 11-10 victory over visiting Elba in a non league baseball game today.
Trailing 10-8, Barker pulled out the win by scoring three times with two out in the seventh inning to claim the win. An error and a passed ball plated two runs to tie the game and then Drew Sandolfini singled to plate the game winner. A walk, a hit batter and an intentional walk loaded the bases with two out to set up the opportunity.
The Raiders got back into the game by scoring three times in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Sandolfini and a two-run error to cut the Elba lead to 10-8. A single by Aidan Voss and an error set up the threat.
Voss finished with three hits as Sandolfini and Isaac Monaco two each.
Improving to 2-0, Barker next hosts Albion in the Niagara-Orleans League opener at 4:45 p.m. Monday.
