By Mike Wertman, Sports Writer Posted 13 January 2018 at 6:56 pm

Getting goal production from seven different players the Tri County Midget hockey team scored a 10-4 victory over host Canandaigua today.

Tri County jumped out to a 3-1 first period lead on goals by Pat Holzschuh, Chase Froman and Jake Donoghue.

Canandaigua knotted the contest at 3-3 in the second period but Tri County regained the lead for good before the end of the stanza at 5-3 on a pair of goals by Tucker Trask.

Canandaigua did rally back to within one at 5-4 before the second period ended but could not pull even again as Tri County pulled away with a big five goal third period scoring surge.

Matt Neilson scored two goals and Trask completed his hat-trick with a goal to highlight Tri County’s big third period uprising which was ignited by tallies by David Archibald and Grant Moy.

Tri County, which next faces Perinton on Sunday, is now 3-8-2.
