Seniors lead Albion and Medina swimmers

Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Leading Albion into the upcoming Niagara-Orleans League swim season will be the Purple Eagles senior trio of Devyn Pearles, Dallas Ecker and Clara Bolton. Ecker placed third in the 200 Individaul Medley and fifth in thr 100 Butterfly at last year’s All League meet. The Purple Eagles returnees also include juniors Finn McCue (3rd in 50 Free, 5th in 100 Free), Mark Ames, Mia Olles (4th in 200 Free), Julia Fuller and sophomores Justin Kania, Gina Sidari, Willow Gaines and Maggie Olles. Albion will prep for the December 8 N-O home opener against Medina with a pair of non league meets at home against Alexander on Dec. 1 and at Byron-Bergen/LeRoy on Dec. 6.

Missing from the photo is senior Henry Rigerman. Satkowski placed second in the 200 Free and fourth in the 100 Free and Moreland fifth in both the 50 Free and 100 Backstroke at last year’s All-League meet. The Seahorses other upper classmen returnees are juniors Caiden Class (4th 500 Free) and Madelynn Rutledge. Medina will host Pembroke Thursday in the non league season opener before beginning N-O competition at Albion on December 8.
