Looking to improve upon last spring’s 6-8 Niagara-Orleans League record, the Medina High varsity softball squad is led this spring by six returning senior veterans.

That group includes Kelsey Evoy (catcher/outfield), Mallori Wienke (infield), Liz Meyer (infield/outfield), Emilee Austin (infield/outfield), Max Wright (outfield) and Hailey Jakubowski (infield/outfield).

Sophmore Alison Bensley, who saw plenty of varsity action last year, and freshman Emily Kams, look to handle the all important pitching position.

The Mustangs roster also includes juniors Bailey Allen, Hailee Seaman, Emma Ambrose and Amanda McCauley along with senior exchange student Carol Ann Tournier.

“We’ve got a lot of experience back an we’re looking to build on what we started last year,” said Coach Mark Kruzynski. “We’ve set our expectations high this year.”
