Led by a nucleus of four senior veterans, Barker is prepping for the up coming girls basketball season under new Coach Jon Dewart.

Caitlyn Mason, who earned second team Niagara-Orleans All-League honors last year, heads that veteran quartet which also includes Lindsey Williams, Courtney Bodine and Rebecca Stoloski.

The Lady Raiders lineup also includes juniors Emily Annable and Lydia Dewart along with sophomores Haley Brown, Kylie Miller and Sarah Mason.

“We only have nine players so they all will play,” said Coach Dewart who takes over the varsity helm from Jeff Costello after guiding the JV team for several years.

“It’s a great bunch of kids who are willing to put in the work,” he added. “We’ll be kind of young but I expect us to be very competitive. We’ll rely on our four seniors and hope the young kids fill in the blanks.”

Barker, which went 5-9 in N-O competition and 10-10 overall, will open the season on December 1 with a non league game against Lyndonville.
