Senior first team quintet heads All Orleans County boys basketball squad
Five seniors comprise the first team of the Hub’s All-Orleans County boys basketball squad.
Medina, which captured both the Niagara-Orleans League and Section VI Class B2 championships, is represented by Tyler Chinn and Brian Fry.
Chinn, who was named the N-O’s Player of the Year, led Medina in scoring with 267 points (17.8 ave.) and also had 81 assists, 75 rebounds and 71 steals.
Fry, who led the Mustangs in rebounds with 125, scored 205 points (13.6 ave.) and also had 63 assists and 44 steals.
Bailey Blanchard led Albion in both scoring with 212 points (16.3 ave.) and rebounding with 109.
Lyndonville has placed Nathan Dillenbeck and Russell Stephens.
Dillenbeck, who was named Genesee Region League Player of the Year, was the county’s top scorer with 278 points (21.4 ave.) A four-year varsity player he finished with a school career record of 1.156 points including a record 156 threes. He also had 85 rebounds, 27 steals and 16 assists this season.
Stephens scored 178 points (13.7 ave.) and had a team high 140 rebounds along with 32 blocks, 26 assists and 17 steals.
The All-County second team includes seniors Joe Cecchini (Medina), Damion Lattimer (Albion) and Derek Edick (Kendall) along with juniors Broek Ostrom (Holley) and Noah Poler (Lyndonville).
