Sectionals next for Kendall volleyball squad

No. 7 seed Kendall will visit No. 2 Bolivar-Richburg on Wednesday in the quarterfinal round of the Section V Class D2 volleyball playoffs.

The victor will face the winner of the No. 6 Cal-Mum vs. No. 3 South Seneca match in the semifinals on Friday.

In another D2 quarterfinal contest on Wednesday, No. 4 Byron-Bergen will host No. 5 York.

The winner will take on the victor of the No. 8 H-A-C vs. No. 1 Pavilion match in Friday’s semifinal round.

The Niagara-Orleans League volleyball season will head into the stretch run this coming week as both Roy-Hart and Medina face a busy schedule coming off Covid-19 related pauses.

Medina will host Newfane Tuesday, visit Albion on Wednesday and Roy-Hart on Thursday and then host Wilson and Albion on Saturday.

Roy-Hart will visit Wilson on Monday, host Albion on Tuesday, Newfane on Wednesday and Medina on Thursday.

8-Man Division Football final matchup set

Top seeded Red Jacket will host No. 2 Pembroke for the Section V 8 Man Division football playoff title next Saturday.

In Saturday’s semifinals Red Jacket defeated No. 4 CG Finney 55-22 and Pembroke rallied from an early 30-8 deficit to outlast No. 3 Perry 74-66.

Running back Garrett Totten rushed for three touchdowns and caught passes for two more and quarterback Connor Peterson passed for 3 TDs and rushed for one to lead the way for Pembroke.
