Section VI baseball playoffs begin Monday
A trio of local teams will be in action as the Section VI baseball playoffs get underway on Monday.
In Class B1, No. 10 seed Albion will visit No. 7 at East Aurora at 5 p.m. The winner will visit No. 2 Depew (17-1) on Tuesday in the quarterfinals.
In Class B2, No. 9 Medina will travel to No. 8 Southwestern and No. 6 Roy-Hart will host No. 11 Allegany-Limestone both at 5 p.m. Also in B2, No. 12 Newfane will visit No. 5 Eden at 5 p.m.
The Medina vs. Southwestern winner will visit No. 1 Springville/West Valley, the Roy-Hart vs. A-L victor will visit No. 3 Akron and the Newfane vs. Eden winner will travel to No. 4 Fredonia all on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
On Monday the Niagara-Orleans League also has No. 6 Wilson hosting No. 11 Cassadaga Valley in Class C. Then on Tuesday, No. 8 Barker will travel to No. 1 Maple Grove in Class D.
In a Section V Class C2 quarterfinal, No. 4 Kendall will face No. 5 Campbell-Savona at 4:30 p.m. Monday at LeRoy.
