Section V Baseball Hall of Fame inducts Hayes
Contributed Photos – Former long time Lyndonville High varsity baseball coach John Hayes was inducted into the Section V Baseball Hall of Fame today in ceremonies at Rochester’s Frontier Field prior to the Red Wings game. Here Hayes, at right, receives his plaque from Ory Mee of the Hall of Fame committee. Hayes guided Lyndonville’s diamond squad for 23 years (1979-2001). His Tiger teams won over 250 games capturing 8 Genesee Region League Division titles and 4 Section V championships (1982, 1983, 1994, 1996).
