Second half surge lifts Barker past Elba
Trailing 22-20 at the half, Barker rallied to outscore host Elba 48-30 in the second half to claim a 68-52 non league boys basketball victory this evening.
Aidan Mescall scored 21 of his game high 24 points in the second half to lead the Barker uprising.
Aidan Voss also netted all 11 of his points in the seond half for the Raiders while Brad Cantrell had 7 of his 18 and Luey Castro 7 of his 14.
Barker led 43-36 after three quarters and still held just a seven point lead midway through the final stanza until Mecall made a three and a three point play to up the advantage to 13.
Now at 1-1, Barker next visits Notre Dame on Tuesday for another non league contest.
