Second half surge lifts Albion past Depew

Trailing 7-0 at the half, Albion rallied with a big four touchdown second half scoring burst to defeat host Depew 28-7 this evening in a B-2 Division game.

Albion pulled even at 7-7 on the opening play of the second half as Ugene Harrison broke loose for a 60 yard touchdown run and Justin Robinson added the first of his four extra point kicks.

The Purple Eagles finally took the lead for the first time at 14-7 early in the final period on a two yard touchdown run by quarterback Bryce Pritchard.

Albion then put a lock on the victory with a pair of long touchdown runs first of 51 yards by Ugene Harrison and then of 60 yards by Brilliance Johnson.

The Purple Eagles defense was led by Ben Restivo with 9 tackles, Demetrius Gardner 8 and JaQuess Harrison 7 and an interception.

Albion improves to 2-0 in the division while Depew slips to 0-2.

The Purple Eagles next face Fredonia/Westfield/Brockton next Friday at Brocton in another B-2 contest.
