Seahorses split meet with Channel Cats

Medina split with visiting Roy-Hart/Barker in a Niagara-Orleans League swim meet this evening.
The host Seahorses won the boys’ meet 86.5-78.5 while the Channel Cats took the girls competition 101-44.
A win in the final event, the 400 Freestyle Relay, by the foursome of Jackson Reese, Timothy Zeiner, Aidan Papaj and Bryson Ford locked up the victory for the Medina boys squad which finishes the dual meet portion of the N-O season at 4-4.
Papaj was on all three winning relays for the Seahorses while Ford, Reese, Zeiner and Bradley Goyette were each on two.
Ford and Reese were also both individual event double winners. Ford took the 200 Individual Medley and 50 Free while Reese won the 100 Free and 100 Backstroke.
Garrett Glyshaw was a double winner for Roy-Hart/Barker in the 200 Free and 100 Breaststroke. Kordell Demaison also won the 100 Butterfly and Jackson Brauen the 500 Free for the Channel Cats which finish with a 5-3 record.
Ava Achtyl was a double winner in the 50 Free and 100 Free for the Roy-Hart/Barker girls as Jillian Ossont took the 200 Individual Medley, Gloria Haller the 100 Butterfly and Mirabelle Strong the 100 Backstroke.
Achtyl and Ossont were also both on two winning relays.
Madeline Mark was a double winner for Medina in the 200 Free and 500 Free.
Having clinched at least a share of the N-0 title, the Roy-Hart/Barker girls finish at 7-1.
