Seahorses earn split with Raiders

Roy-Hart boys, Newfane girls complete 10-0 title seasons

Medina edged past host Barker 89.5-80.5 this afternoon to close out the dual meet portion of the Niagara-Orleans League boys swim season.

The victory leaves the Seahorses and Raiders deadlocked for second place at 7-3.

Austin Brown won the 100 butterfly, Austin Heil the 500 freestyle and Kristian Snyder the 100 breaststroke to lead the way for Medina.

Collin Webb doubled in the 100 and 200 freestyle events and Alex Goodlander in the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke for Barker which also had Casey Webb take the 50 free.

The Barker girls likewise finished the N-O season at 7-3 and tied with Roy-Hart for second place by defeating Medina 103-64.

Renee Levy won the 200 free, Natalie Menz the 50 free, Emma Jenks the 100 free, Christiana Carestia the 500 free, Grayce Weller the backstroke and Sara Gendrue the breaststroke for Barker.

Emma Gardner doubled in the individual medley and butterfly for Medina which finishes at 3-7.

The Newfane girls completed a sixth straight perfect 10-0 N-O championship season by defeating Albion 118-47.

Lydia Gaughran doubled in the 200 and 500 freestyle events and Allie DeBiase in the 50 free and breaststroke to lead the Lady Panthers.

Elizabeth Furmanski won the 100 free for Albion.

The Newfane boys completed the sweep by downing Albion 97-66 to wind up at 4-6.

Andrew Hamelink doubled in the individual medley and breaststroke for the Panthers.

Morgan Seielstad won both the 200 and 500 for Albion which finishes the season at 3-7.

The Roy-Hart boys squad completed a ninth straight undefeated N-O title campaign by defeating Akron 100-51 for the Channel Cats 125th straight overall victory.

Mason Sparks doubled in the 200 and 500 free, Tanner Rees in the individual medley and breaststroke and Ray Sack in the 50 free and butterfly to lead the way for the Channel Cats which have compiled an 89-0 record over the nine year N-O title reign.

The Roy-Hart girls completed the sweep by downing Akron 99-71 as Alex Hill doubled in the individual medley and butterfly and Lindsay Yates in the 50 free and backstroke.
