Scroger earns Region III softball honors

Medina High graduate and Niagara County Community College freshman Alisha Scroger has been named to the second team of the Region III All-Star softball squad.

Scroger, who started at shortstop for the Thunderwolves, set new school single season records for hits with 58 and runs scored with 51.

She also led the Thunderwolves in hitting with a .443 average, doubles with 18 and stolen bases with 27 and also had 21 RBI.

During her scholastic days at Medina, Scroger earned first team Niagara-Orleans All-League honors as both a junior and senior.
