Scouts from Troop and Pack 175 in West Barre are pictured with more than 900 items of food they collected during the annual “Scouting for Food” drive on Saturday. The Scouts went house to house and collected the food from residents in Barre.
The Scouts are pictured at the West Barre United Methodist Church. The food will be sorted at the church this week and then delivered to Community Action of Orleans & Genesee.
Scouts in Medina at Troops 28 and 35 collected over 1,500 items of food on Saturday that will be donated to the Calvary Tabernacle Church’s food cupboard. Every year the Cub Scouts from both Pack 28 and 35 hang door hangers and the following week the Boy Scouts from each troop go around and collect. The Scouts and their leaders thanked the Medina community for their generous donations.
