Sandstone wins two to open Midget season
Sandstone scored a pair of victories this past week to open the Albion Midget League 12 U Division baseball season.
Sandstone first downed Elba B 5-0 as Nikko Russo registered 8 strikeouts on the mound.
Russo and Blake Brown both had key hits during a three run fifth inning which locked up the win.
Gia Zuber had a single and double for Elba B
Sandstone then bested Elks 11-4 as Jayce Torres had 3 hits and 4 RBIs and Brown a two-run single.
Kayden Donnelly had a two-run double for Elks.
