Sandstone tops Rotary in Albion Midget game
Sandstone outlasted Rotary 11-9 Thursday in a free scoring Albion Midget League game.
Setting the tone at the outset, both teams scored three times in the first inning as Brayden Ryder had a two-run single for Sandstone and Noah Harrison and Garrett Miller RBI singles for Rotary.
Ryder also had a two-run single to highlight a big six run third inning for Sandstone which later scored what proved to be the decisive two runs in the fifth frame as Elliot Trapiss had an RBI single.
Trapiss and Ryder both finished with three hits for Sandstone as Harrison and Xavier Boyd each had two for Rotary.
Sandstone is now 4-3 and Rotary 3-3.
