Sandstone captures Albion Futures League playoff championship

Completing a near perfect 11-0-1 season, Sandstone recently nipped Barre 3-2 in the championship game of the Albion Futures League playoffs. In front are Zack Baron, Sencere Lowe, Caden Uderitz, Jacob Hughson and Jaden Borrao. In the middle row are Carsen Uderitz, Pom Siebert, Kyle Vanameron, Nick Martino and Chris Sacco. In back are coaches Chantelle Sacco, Jeff Baron and Ryan Uderitz. Trailing 2-1, Sandstone rallied for the win on a bases loaded two-run single by Jacob Hughson in the bottom of the fifth inning. Chris Sacco then preserved the win by registering a clutch strikeout in the top of the sixth inning with the bases loaded. Barre had grabbed a 2-1 lead in the third inning on a double by Tyler Gibson. In the semifinals, Sandstone defeated Vets/Actives and Barre downed Rotary.
