Sanchez receives major GCC athletic award

Albion High graduate and Genesee Community College sophomore Carlitos Sanchez has been named GCC’s Co-Male Athlete of the Year.
A two year mainstay on the GCC swim team, Sanchez shared the Male Athlete of the Year Award with sophomore soccer player Ed Port.
Recently Sanchez also earned the Cougar Award for men’s swimming.
He set school records in the 50 and 100 Freestyle and 50 Backstroke events and took first place honors in all three events at the regional meet.
