Salamanca stickmen down Medina

Taking charge in the second quarter Salamanca went on to down host Medina 16-8 in the Class D Division lacrosse opener this afternoon.
Medina jumped out to a 4-3 first quarter lead on three goals by Mitchell Silversmith and one by Christian Silversmith.
However, Salamanca answered with a big 6- second period scoring edge to rally into a 9-5 half-time advantage.
The Warriors maintained a 13-8 led after three quarters.
Christian and Mitchell Silversmith each scored three goals on the day as Chaise Prest and Cayden Lilleby both added one.
Now at 0-2, Medina next visits Newark in a non league game on Saturday.
