Ryan Wells clinches GNC2 national title

Ryan Wells from Albion recently clinched the GNC2 National Championship Title at the Central New York Half-Mile race held on August 20 in Weedsport.

Wells joined the AMA Flat Track Racing circuit in 2012 at age 16. Recently he has gained three first place spots in Springfield Mile in Springfield, IL., Lima Half-Mile in Lima, Ohio, and Sturgis Half-Mile in Sturgis, S.D. making his points shoot ahead in the rankings. In addition, he finished second at the Sacramento Mile in Sacramento, CA and at the Charlotte Half-Mile in Charlotte, N.C.

Wells races his 94B Honda CRF 450R and is sponsored by Parkinson Brothers Racing squad. After taking a second place win at the recent Central New York Half Mile Race, Wells was excited to thank his new racing team. While interviewed, he stated “To get three races this season – a fourth would’ve been cool – but man, this Championship is not going to get old and I am beyond excited. I just can’t thank those guys enough. It all paid off. I’m just too excited.”

Wells will finish off the season by racing at the upcoming race in Springfield, Illinois on September 4 then travel to Santa Rosa, California on September 25.
