Roy-Hart, Newfane swimmers split

Roy-Hart and host Newfane split in a Niagara-Orleans League meet this afternoon.

The eight time defending champion Roy-Hart boys scored a 111-58 victory as Ray Sack doubled in the 100 butterfly and 50 free, Elliott Spitzer in the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle and Mason Sparks in the 200 and 500 free.

Andrew Hamelink doubled for Newfane in the 100 individual medley and 100 breaststroke.

The five time defending Newfane girls gained the split by posting a 100-69 victory as Lydia Gaughran doubled in the 200 and 500 free and Allie DeBiase in the individual medley and butterfly.

Lindsay Yates was a double winner for Roy-Hart in the 50 free and backstroke.

The Barker at Albion meet was postponed due to pool problems.
