Roy-Hart girls have early N-O opener

Roy-Hart will get the Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer season off to an early start by hosting Medina at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Gasport.

Anchoring the lineup for new Coach Rich Jennings’ Lady Rams squad is a large contingent of returning starters including seniors Emma Lindke, Amber Villella, Hannah Dodge, Rachael Rausch and Sarah Duewiger along with juniors Kaleigh Kuzma and Ava Bligh.

Lindke and Villella both earned second team Niagara-Orleans All-League honors last fall while Bligh earned honorable mention.

Lindke led the Lady Rams in scoring with 29 goals and 11 assists while Villella had 17 goals and 8 assists.

Roy-Hart, which went 6-8 in the league and 8-9-1 will also be competing in the Holley Tournament on Thursday facing the host Lady Hawks.
