Roy-Hart girls advance to Class B semis
No. 16 seed Roy-Hart bested host No. 8 Alden 6-1 this afternoon in the quarterfinals of the Section VI Class B girls soccer playoffs.
Amber Villella scored 4 goals and Emma Lindke 2 to advance to Tuesday’s semifinal round against No. 4 Tonawanda which topped No. 5 Newfane 3-2 in a penalty kick shootout.
Marguerite Loughrey made 13 saves in goal to anchor the Lady Rams defense.
No. 2 Wilson also advanced to the semis by nipping No. 7 Falconer 2-1 on second half goals by Kayla Neuman and Rachel Senek.
Wilson will face No. 3 Olean in the semifinals on Tuesday. Olean nipped No. 6 Akron 2-0 in a penalty kick shootout.
