Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina icers nipped

Jumping out to a 2-0 first period lead, City Honors/Cardinal O’Hara went on to defeat the Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina team 5-3 Tuesday evening in a Western New York High School Club Hockey League game at the Riverside Rink in Buffalo.

Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina did cut the deficit to 2-1 at the 13 minute mark of the second period on a goal by Jason Kuchey (Roy-Hart) but City Honors/O’Hara answered right back with a quick burst of two goals in a span of just two minutes to regain control at 4-1.

Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina pulled to within 4-2  on a power play goal by Mark Krzykowski, (Akron) off an assist from Matt Saj,(Medina) but could get no closer as City Honors/O’Hara added another tally to go up 5-2 at the end of the period.

Saj scored Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina’s final goal in the third period.

Now at 1-1, Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina next faces Orchard Park ‘A’ on Sunday at the Harbor Center in Buffalo at 6:30 p.m..
