Roy-Hart wins sectional softball playoff opener; Albion and Medina bow
No. 7 seed Roy-Hart romped to a 11-1 win over visiting No. 10 Clevelnd Hill this afternoon in the opening round of the Section VI Class B2 softball playoffs.
Kaitlin Mettler had 3 hits and Adella Dukes and Lila Brigham 2 each to lead the Roy-Hart attack as Abby Fox picked up the win in the circle. Metttler drove in 3 runs.
Roy-Hart will next visit No. 2 Fredonia on Thursday.
Also in Class B2, No. 8 Southwestern ousted visiting No. 9 Medina 13-0.
Iyla Lilleby, Lorelei Sanders and Alana Smith had the only hits for Medina.
In Class B1, No. 8 Cheektowaga pushed across a run in the 8th inning on an RBI single by Aubrey Duval to nip visiting No. 8 Albion 7-6.
Cami London hit two solo home runs for Albion as Alana Irvine, Aubrielle Barry. Abby Wittenberg had 2 hits and Emma Foote 1.
