Roy-Hart tops Barker in N-O softball finale

Roy-Hart downed host Barker 6-2 this afternoon as the Lady Rams closed out the Niagara-Orleans League softball season with an 8-4 record.

Roy-Hart grabbed a 1-0 lead in the third inning as winning pitcher Reanna Perkins tripled and came home on an RBI single by Molly Russell.

That same combination clicked at the plate again in the third inning as Perkins doubled in two runs and Russell singled in one to up the Lady Rams advantage to 4-0.

Roy-Hart tacked on a pair of insurance runs in the fifth inning on a two-run double by Juliana Buscarino for a 6-1 lead.

In the circle, Perkins gave up 2 hits and struck out 13.

Peyton Bradley accounted for both Barker runs with an RBI sacrifice fly in the fourth inning and an RBI single in the sixth.

The Lady Raiders finish the N-O season at 3-9.

Wilson 10, Medina 6

Wilson defeated visiting Medina 10-6 to finish in a tie with Roy-Hart for second place at 8-4.

Madelyn Seeley had a double and triple and Isabella Lembke a single and double to lead the way for Wilson which scored four runs in the fifth inning.

Hannah Kenward had a pair of hits for Medina which finishes the N-O season at 6-6.

N-O Tennis

Akron completed a 12-0 N-O title season with a 5-0 win over Newfane.
