Moving back into a tie for first place, Roy-Hart defeated host Albion 2-0 this evening in a key Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game.

The victory pulls Roy-Hart even with Medina/Lyndonville at 6-1 for the N-O lead.

A quick two goal scoring burst early in the second half, both by Aidan Bligh at the 32:38 and 30:13 marks, provided all of the scoring Roy-Hart would need.

Colby Hancock earned the shutout in goal for the Rams.

The loss drops Albion to 3-4-1 in N-O action.

Roy-Hart has games at Newfane (5-2-1) and at Akron (0-8) on Tuesday and Thursday before hosting Medina/Lyndonville in a key make up game on October 15 to close out the N-O season.  Medina/Lyndonville has home games against Akron and Albion on Tuesday and Thursday.

Albion’s Brad Martin heads the ball away from Roy-Hart’s Peter Martillotta.
