Roy-Hart tips Albion in OT in N-O opener

Roy-Hart upended visiting Albion 3-2 in overtime this evening to open the Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer season.

In the other N-O openers Wilson blanked Medina/Lyndonville 2-0 and Newfane downed Akron 5-3.

Trent Choate scored just 52 seconds into the first 10 minute overtime period off an assist from Noah Hardy to give Roy-Hart the victory.

Earlier, Roy-Hart had built up a 2-0 advantage as Aidan Bligh scored at the 24 minute mark of the first half, off an assist from Jose Campos, and again on a penalty kick at the 35 minute mark of the second half.

Albion though battled back to tie the contest on a quick two goal scoring burst by Kendyll Hadick at the 28 and 25 minute marks with the second coming on a penalty kick.

Alex Chisppone and Drew Kepner each scored a goal to lead Wilson past Medina/Lyndonville.

Jarret Gilson scored 4 goals and Trevor Heschke had a goal and 2 assists to lead Newfane past Akron.
